The Takeaway

Wondering what the takeaway is from all of these statistics? Simply put, the Cherokee County real estate market is steady, with rises and falls that correlate with normal seasonal fluctuations.

The slight drop in active listings during the winter months is a yearly phenomenon, as many people don’t want to deal with selling their home during the holidays. As you can see, listings pick up in the spring, making spring and summer the busy season for real estate. This season is prime for both buyers and sellers, as many people want to get settled in a new home by the end of the summer so their kids can start at their new school.

As you can see in the number of homes sold in June, listing your home in the spring is a great choice, allowing you to take advantage of the season’s increased traffic and motivated buyers.

However, spring is not the only time to sell. As you can see, over the past 12 months homes in Cherokee County sold steadily in all seasons.
